Lemon Tree Montessori is a special home-based Montessori play space in the San Francisco Bay Area, dedicated to nurturing infants from the crawling stage up to 4 years old. Along with that, we offer an esteemed Montessori Infant-Toddler Child Care program, designed to provide holistic development and care.

Here, at Lemon Tree Montessori, we offer a thoughtfully curated home-based Montessori setting. Your child embarks on a journey of exploration and growth, enriched by sensory experiences. Our meticulously designed Montessori home environment is tailored to cater to their unique needs. From furnishings scaled to their size to captivating activities that nurture concentration and skill development, every detail is considered. We provide a secure space where they can learn the essentials of communal living. Here, you have the opportunity to discover how to create a Montessori environment within your own home, allowing both you and your child to benefit from a prepared setting. Moreover, you can forge connections with like-minded caregivers who share Montessori values, fostering a supportive community. Join us in fostering their holistic development through the principles of Montessori education.

Montessori Playdate

Join us on Sundays for our Montessori Playgroup class! You and your child will spend 1.5 hours learning and discovering things together. This special time helps you use Montessori ideas at home too, so your family can enjoy them all the time.

  • Class time: 9:30 am – 11:00 am (Sundays)
  • Dates: Sep 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, Year 2024
  • Cost: $350/5 weeks

Montessori Childcare Program

Say hello to our weekday Montessori Childcare Program! It’s a nurturing childcare initiative tailored to children from the crawling stage to 4 years old. Operating within a Home-Based Montessori environment, our intimate setting accommodates a maximum of 10 children, ensuring each little one receives dedicated attention and care. This cozy, home-like atmosphere is designed to foster a secure and affectionate space for your precious ones to flourish. Our Montessori methodology encourages infants and toddlers to freely explore, engage with peers, and develop a strong sense of self. Meticulously curated materials and activities are aligned with each child’s developmental pace, nurturing growth, independence, and social interaction. With a keen focus on the distinctive sensitive periods for movement, language, and sensory development, our devoted educators forge respectful and responsive connections, establishing a sturdy foundation for your child’s holistic journey.

Gracie has built a wonderful community in Lemon Tree. She cultivates a rich learning environment with daily activities, gardening, and outdoor play. My 16-month-old son, Andrew, has been attending Lemon Tree since he was 11 months old. And we are very happy we found this daycare! The Montessori approach they follow is amazing. Gracie has a gift for identifying my son’s unique interests and abilities, and she's always coming up with fun, age-appropriate activities that promote his development. What I love most about Gracie is how she builds a strong foundation for our child. She's big on routine, which is great for Andrew because he thrives on predictability. She's also got a good way of communicating with the kids, and I've seen her patiently guide them through various tasks and activities. Another thing that's been a huge plus for us is the home-like atmosphere. Gracie has created a cozy, welcoming space that feels like a second home. It's the perfect setting for little ones to feel comfortable and secure while their parents are away. Also, as a parent, I really appreciate the regular updates and photos that Gracie shares throughout the day. It's reassuring to know about his daily activities, meals, naps, and milestones. And, the most importantly, Andrew loves going there and is always happy when we pick him up!

My family is incredibly fortunate to have found Teacher Gracie and Lemon Tree Montessori. Although we had planned on keeping our only child at home for his first few years, it turned out to be quite tricky while both parents worked from home. We could also see our son craving new interactions and experiences. We were very hesitant and concerned about sending him to daycare, especially in the COVID era, and didn’t love other daycares and schools we toured. Our worries melted away from the minute we found Gracie. Gracie is extremely diligent and dedicated to her families and the Montessori way. She put us all at ease guided us through the introduction process and let us know what to expect from the first few weeks. She made a tough process as smooth and gentle as possible. She provided timely updates and sound advice. We knew we could trust her 100% with the care of our child. Gracie provides her children with an environment that is calm, safe, and happy. She truly respects each child as an individual and helps them build their confidence and independence. We felt the genuine love and care she had for our son. She also takes extra time with parents to let them know how each child is doing and is available for guidance as babies and toddlers quickly change. She participates in continuous education so she can provide the best care. I couldn’t recommend her more! We are forever grateful to Gracie and Lemon Tree and will treasure our time there. We only wish we had more time together.
